When choosing a rustic kitchen design, wood is the definitive choice to give the kitchen a rustic style. The kitchen design must have unity in all its elements including wooden table, rustic shade cabinets, and open wooden shelves with vintage kitchen accessories giving it the perfect rustic interior design. Rustic kitchen design ideas can be simplified but the theme should austerely be rustic.
The color choice for appliances is also very important and contributes to the total design statement. I would suggest if you are planning a traditional style kitchen use matching white wood front decorator panels on the dishwasher and refrigerator fronts as they will blend in better with the total look and use your choice for ovens, cook tops and sinks as stainless steel or black. In a contemporary style kitchen many designers choose to accent all appliances with contrasting colors to create a more dramatic look. In the past many people felt that white kitchen cabinets were only for showrooms and thought white was too much work to maintain. With today‘s new wood finishes and synthetic materials white kitchen cabinetry is as easy to maintain as any other stained color. White kitchen cabinets have been in style for the past 20 years and show no signs of going out of the style trends to date. It is much easier to change color themes from time to time by changing window treatments, place mats and countertop accessories with new accent colors if you choose.
The horizontal cabinets that have doors opening from the top are modern. There are accessories you can use when designing a small kitchen. These will need to be kept to the minimum since the goal is to eliminate clutter. Appliances such as mixers can be stored in the cupboards. Although a modern small kitchen design does not allow you to have too much in the kitchen, that does not mean your kitchen has to be boring. Kitchen designing can be a challenge economically because of budget concerns. If your kitchen window is large enough, you can use natural lights and no curtains are needed. Small spaces can use bold colors like red accented with chrome or silver to bring out the taste. You never want a small modern kitchen to look too busy or junky.
