Really change up this space by using two different sized tiles. Install square glass on the majority of the splash then run a border of matching subway tile throughout. Or try putting the subway tile on the splash but squares behind the stove. How about setting the glass tiles on an angle so that the squares look like diamonds instead. Do this on the entire splash or just behind the stove.
Regardless if you choose a mural or any other type of pattern, tumbled tiles are available in quite a few different configurations. You don‘t have to make the commitment to all tumbled tile if you don‘t want to, nor do you have to have them all the same size. Some of the most intriguing kitchen tile backsplash ideas are those that simply add depth with size or material variations. You could have four rows of one size tile, topped with two rows of a smaller tile or you could toss in mirrored or colored glass for variety. Additionally, these variations could also form a pattern themselves. The possibilities are virtually endless when working with tumbled tile.
The kitchen is one of the more important rooms of the house. This is not only the place where we cook the food but it is a place where we bond with other family members. The sad thing is most homes nowadays only have small kitchens and it does not leave much room to move around especially if all the family members are there. However, before you go off and ax one of the walls of your kitchen, you can opt for a cheaper alternative and that is to come up with a small kitchen design.
