Designing traditional kitchens is not an easy task, given the options for organization, fixtures, size, mood, and material that present those wishing to design or renovate their kitchens into something new. When designing traditional kitchens, a few basics hold true. It is important to locate storage areas where they will be convenient and where the kitchen users will feel comfortable reaching for objects as they cook. By taking the time to think about how you cook in your preparation space, anyone can concoct a simple floor plan that winds their natural motions and behaviors into their everyday kitchen routine. Later on, when the new traditional kitchen is designed, users will marvel at how intuitive the environment feels.
Really change up this space by using two different sized tiles. Install square glass on the majority of the splash then run a border of matching subway tile throughout. Or try putting the subway tile on the splash but squares behind the stove. How about setting the glass tiles on an angle so that the squares look like diamonds instead. Do this on the entire splash or just behind the stove.
When it comes to home design, people tend to think that the bigger things are, the better they are. Sure enough, it‘s always a joy to have large living spaces wherein you can really stretch out. But the reality is that we often can‘t have as much space in our homes as we might like. This is particularly true when one turns his or her attention toward spaces like kitchens.
